A little over a year ago, I built a desktop riser to store hold all my radio gear. I have since remodeled my shack and no longer need this piece of furniture.
The unit is 48 inches wide and plenty deep enough to hold any radio. It is made to sit on top you your desk. It has room for multiple radios, power supplies, tuners, etc. It was also made to hold multiple monitors on top. It even has 3 areas at the bottom to slide your keyboards, mice or logbook underneath. It is made of 3/4 inch project wood and is put together with a pocket hole jig and some wood glue. It is plenty strong and will last many years. It is currently unfinished, but can be stained or painted to your preferred color. See photos below.
