Coax

Like Andy said, conduit is best.

That said, I've use Shireen RFC-400 which is the equivalent product of Times Microwave LMR-400 for about 15 years now. Both myself and others I've sold cable to have direct buried this cable with no long term issues despite the fact it's not rated as such.

If interested, I can sell it at $1 a ft.

Hi Bradford. What bands are you planning to operate on? LMR-400 is very good transmission line on all bands, but especially good above 30mhz. Coax will usually indicate if it is ok with direct burial, but I think putting it in conduit is a good idea.

I am setting up a new antenna and I am looking for the best place to get 65 ft of direct burial LMR 400. Yes, I see a lot of different suppliers from ebay to amazon to dxengineering but I would like some real world knowledge as to what I need that works. Also is direct burial ideal or should I sleeve it?
